SLIS Usability Lab Opening


SLIS, Kent State University

On Monday, April 17, the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) and the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management program (IAKM), will kick off a week long grand opening of the SLIS Usability Lab with an afternoon reception for university administrators. Tours for university departments and the general public will take place throughout the week. A usability panel discussion open to all Kent State students will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in room 332 of the main library. Usability professionals will be presenting and discussing usability issues currently impacting the field. Usability professionals from Cleveland-area businesses will be discussing issues currently impacting the field. Among the panelists are Monica Fry of Intuit, Jeff Janis of Progressive Insurance, and Jeff Pearl of eMergent Marketing.
