On Monday, April 17, the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) and the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management program (IAKM), will kick off a week long grand opening of the SLIS Usability Lab with an afternoon reception for university administrators. Tours for university departments and the general public will take place throughout the week.
A usability panel discussion open to all Kent State students will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in room 332 of the main library. Usability professionals will be presenting and discussing usability issues currently impacting the field.
Usability professionals from Cleveland-area businesses will be discussing issues currently impacting the field. Among the panelists are Monica Fry of Intuit, Jeff Janis of Progressive Insurance, and Jeff Pearl of eMergent Marketing.
